No Diggity, Chet Faker

Greetings Readers,

It's been a minute (more like months) since I've posted. I know that no one has been waiting on bated breath for my return. So, without further ado, I'm back, well, only when the fancy strikes me (I'll see you again in a couple of months (I've been busy, sorry bout it).

Now, for the reason you might actually read this blog, music. Check this guy out, Chet Faker, another Australian artist on the blog, they are killing it. His sound is fantastic, self described, his sound is "Future Beat, Electronica, Down-tempo, Soul, Sex" (Facebook). Chet just released his first full length album, Built On Glass, in April of this year (2014), it features some fantastic tracks and his lead single, Talk is Cheap (I've included the sound below).

Also to his credit is an EP he released in 2012 under his label Future Classic titled Thinking in Textures, which has been burning up my speakers and headphones for the past month. With that being said I've put my favorite track from it below.

There's nothing wrong with a little Biggie in your life

Dear friends (do I have any left that still come here?),

1 more dope beat for your evening to blow your mind. Hot teen sensation Lorde has received the Melker Project touch. After Melker was done with the remix he said that "Something was missing, so I added Biggie". My friends, if there is any doubt when making music, just add a little Biggie and you have a solid remix. "If ya don't know, now ya know".

St. Lucia New(s)

Good day my friends! So, cool news on St. Lucia (The link will take you to their videos) front: 1)They're first full length studio album drops this October (the 8th to be exact) and 2) They've released the first single off of it, Elevate. I've also included a little jam they put the together in between the release of their EP and the single below called September.

Leaning heavily on synth-pop (which started in the 80's and is making a strong comeback), St. Lucia finds themselves in a good niche with the likes of Cut Copy and Empire of the Sun. Hopefully, When the Night is the start of a long career from them. I look forward to what this album holds.

Who Doesn't Like Bob Marley?

So, my internet friends (all three of you that still bother to rummage through a music addicts blog). Bob Marley, or at least his estate is, releasing an album later this summer. Who remembers his album Legend? What a wonderful greatest hits album, I dare say one of the best out there. Well, anyway, his estate has deemed it OK to remix all of it. I leave you with an open verdict and a couple of songs from the upcoming album...Till later.
